This email package comes with Windows operating systems. To set up with Outlook for your email, you will need to know some settings information from your Internet Service Provider.
You will need to know...
The name of your
mail server (usually it is mail.yourispsname.com.au)
So if you are with Power Up, it will be mail.powerup.com.au or if you are
with ozemail it would most likely be mail.ozemail.com.au. The important
thing is that you get this information correct from the beginning so it
will not confuse your set up and make things difficult for you.
Whether your mail from the ISP is a POP 3 account. (usually it is but you will need to check this to be sure)
Your user name. This is the name you have assigned to your Internet account. If you are not certain of your user name or login name you will need to call your provider and as them to check that for you. Now your user name is the first part of your email address. So it is, for example if you had marysmith@ribbon.net.au the user name is marysmith NOT marysmith@ribbon.net.au
You will also need to know what your password
is. It is the same password you use when you log into your ISP.
Please keep the information about your user name and password private and
for security reasons it is probably a good idea to change your password
often. You will need to get your ISP to change your password for you.
Now you have all the information to set up Outlook (or sometimes called Internet Mail) to access your email.
Click on Tools then Accounts as show below:

Now you are ready to enter the information given to you from your ISP.
Go to the "Mail" tab as shown above and click on "Add", unless
you already have a Account setup, if so, click on the Account and press the
Properties button.

In this box, you can setup your account details -
Make sure your setup is the same as above but replace "username" with your account
name (the name you chose for your login name)
