Creating new folders

Here's how to create a new folder on your desktop:

• Close all open windows, so that you can see your standard Windows Desktop. .
• Right click the mouse anywhere on the desktop and choose > New and then click > Folder.
• Windows will add the new folder and displays a text box in which you can enter the name of your new folder. You can call the new folder anything you like, but in this example we will name the folder 'Downloads'. Enter a name for your folder and press Enter.
  

Similarly in Windows Explorer you can also create new folders.

• Go to Start > Programs > (Accessories) > Windows Explorer.
• Choose File > New > Folder from the top menu
• You can name the folder whatever you like and then, just press Enter on your keyboard.
