You can send a file to someone you are chatting to using IRC. All of the Mirc programs we have sent you have all been set up so as not to receive file extensions.exe. This is because when people send you viruses in irc invariably they are .exe files, which means an executable file, which can be a virus. We have set up IRC so that you can only receive documents or files or pictures that are not programs.
To send something to someone click their nickname and then right click with your mouse button and a little menu pops up. In there is a menu that says DCC.send. So you click on that and your C drive opens up and you can find and choose the file you wish to send. There is a small wait of a few seconds while the person you are sending it to chooses whether to accept it. The file is then send across to the person. To find a file go to your c drive and find C:\mirc\attachments and the file will be in that folder.
