About WEAVIN

WEAVIN aims to create a website where women and workers can share information and resources that assist in providing support services for survivors of sexual assault.

The website includes a database of contact information for Women's Services in Queensland. Let us know if your service is not currently listed, or if there are other women's services you would like included. Links to other organisations are also listed in the Network area. The Training space has been developed for workers, volunteers and women in the community so they can learn about, or enhance their computer and Internet skills in a supportive environment. The Resources area contains links to educational kits and papers, as well as a facility to self-publish relevant reports/papers about service issues that would be of interest to workers in other women's services. In the Campaigns area WEAVIN hosts current information on events, campaigns and debates of interest to all women.

The WEAVIN Website was a project developed with the assistance of:

  • 1998 - Regional Telecommunications Infrastructure Fund (RTIF), Department of Information, Communication & Technology
  • 2000 - Queensland University of Technology (QUT) Community Services Fund
  • 2003-04 Zonta Club of Brisbane North Inc.

  • The Women's Community Aid Association continues to support the WEAVIN website project.
